Deakin Downtown, Deakin University’s new corporate headquarters, right in the heart of Melbourne’s developing Docklands district, serves as a flexible space for a multitude of functions, including meetings and conferences. As such, the building needed to provide a pragmatic solution that would complement its sophisticated appearance but also serve its acoustical needs and other functional requirements.
Hassell Studio Architects wanted a solution that could integrate with the décor and lighting scheme, to provide linearity while servicing the ever important acoustical demands of the space.
PureGlue™, Pioppo-Superior and Birch-Superior with no added formaldehyde was selected to build up the interior cabinetry and supplied by Elton Group, Panguaneta distributor for Australia.
