Throughout the week, the city was transformed into an open, dynamic laboratory of creativity. Installations and events across the Fuorisalone animated historic palazzi and contemporary venues alike, engaging materials, visions and experimentation in an ongoing dialogue.

Within this vibrant setting, Panguaneta plywood returned to centre stage at Masterly – The Dutch in Milano, the exhibition conceived by Nicole Uniquole that brings together the most compelling voices in Dutch design and marked its 10th anniversary in 2026.

For this milestone edition, Dutch partner Blok Plaatmateriaal, under the creative direction of Carina Riezebos, revisited some of the most iconic projects from previous participations. The result was a curated journey dedicated to memory and material. The colonnade of the historic Palazzo dei Giureconsulti was reimagined as the “Colonnade of Memories”: an immersive environment where signature pieces from past editions were presented in a renewed aesthetic language.

The day-bed “Stellina” appeared in a refined textured laminate evoking the tactile qualities of earth and stone; the archway “Sfumature” embraced soft, contemporary tones; the collection of armchairs and sofas that has welcomed visitors over the years was complemented by an elegant poplar plywood table and a striking chandelier, where wood and glass interacted in a sophisticated play of light and transparency.

At the heart of the project was Panguaneta PureGlue™ Tutto Pioppo — a plywood solution that combines the value of responsibly sourced, short supply-chain raw material with an innovative bonding system free from added formaldehyde. This advanced technology ensures dimensional stability, structural reliability and outstanding processing versatility, granting designers maximum creative freedom while meeting the most rigorous environmental standards.

Milano Design Week once again proved to be a privileged observatory for interpreting the evolution of contemporary design and, at the same time, a strategic stage for highlighting the strength of an international partnership that continues to explore the full potential of high-end plywood — a material capable of supporting meaningful, forward-thinking and culturally resonant projects.
